This dynamic program helps make at-home learning successful through in-depth guidance, lessons specifically designed to connect with multiple ages, and minimal prep and setup. Branches was made to fit right into your familyâs learning routine with ease.
Three Pillars of Branches
Branches is built on a strong three pillar educational philosophy shaped by 20+ years of experience teaching and parenting:

Foundational Knowledge

Multi-age Learning

Interconnected Subjects
We believe kids learn best when theyâre immersed in meaningful content, using their whole bodies, sharing big ideas, and making connections that stick. Thatâs why Branches weaves foundational knowledge into every moment, combining hands-on activities, rich conversations, and a wide variety of books and media.
With multi-age learning at the heart of the program, families grow togetherâbuilding memories and understanding side-by-side. Each unit connects subjects like science, social studies, language arts, and fine arts into one thoughtful, engaging theme creating a deeper, more lasting kind of learning. This isnât just about school. Itâs about shaping curious, confident learners for life.

Creating Lifelong Learners
Education is meant to enrich and enlighten a childâs life. It is equal parts independent and cooperative in nature. âEducatingâ is not something done to a child, but is instead a journey of knowledge building that occurs throughout a lifetime.
Branches uses open-ended discussions and conversations, impactful fiction and non-fiction books, writing prompts, hands-on experiments, and enrichment activities to facilitate a lifestyle of learning for your family to share. Every unit extends across multiple domains and elementary grades, making learning immersive, engaging, and full of discovery. From the books we read to the music we hear to the activities we try togetherâlearning comes to life through connection.

Reaching All Ages of Learners
We are passionate about meeting kids where they are, providing opportunities for challenge, and giving chances for growth. While many programs place an emphasis on grade level learning or suggest siblings work together as a sort of after thought, Branches was written with multi-age learning in mind.
Branches uses an open-ended system to help children learn in a multi-dimensional way that invites them to think deeply, share openly, and learn in ways that honor their individuality. Lessons are built around open-ended questions and prompts that welcome a variety of ideasânot just one right answer. This approach values each childâs unique thinking, supports their current skill level, and nurtures confidence, while allowing children of a variety of ages and developmental levels to work in tandem.
For example, six-year-old and a ten-year-old might answer the same question in completely different ways, but both answers hold value, insight, and depth. In Branches, we use open-ended questions to guide thinking, spark discussion, and make space for every childâs voice to shine. This approach works beautifully across ages, because it honors where each learner is and invites them to apply what they know in meaningful, individual ways. A question like âWhy donât ocean animals sink?â becomes a shared moment of discovery with answers that are wonderfully unique and vastly different.
